Shakespeare® Amorphous Nylons are designed with superior barrier properties, and can be tailored with specific molecular weight distribution and glass transition temperatures to meet specific needs for processing and end use performance. The properties of Shakespeare® Amorphous Nylons are marginally affected by temperature until the glass transition temperature is reached. They are optically transparent and have higher glass transition temperatures than semi-crystalline nylons.

||Low viscosity, semi-aromatic PA copolymer. This amorphous nylon has superior chemical resistance as well as great barrier properties. Typical applications include injection molding of small clear parts and mechanical enhancement additive in blends and compounds.
||High viscosity, semi-aromatic PA copolymer. This amorphous nylon has superior chemical resistance, barrier properties and a great combination of both strength and stiffness. Typically used in transparent applications such as injection molding of clear parts, film extrusion and compounds.
||Medium viscosity, semi-aromatic PA copolymer. This nylon copolymer encompasses the mechanical properties of a semi-crystalline nylon along with the chemical resistance and barrier properties of our amorphous nylons.
||Medium viscosity, semi-aromatic PA copolymer of DT/DI. The Novadyn™ high performance polyamide provides excellent transparency, chemical resistance and a higher Tg than traditional polyamides of 6I/6T. Applications include clear molded parts, compounds for metal replacement, additives for fiber property enhancement, films and reducing the moisture effect in traditional nylon molded parts.
