Custom Polyamides: Many of our customers come to
us with very specific needs directed toward increased
productivity or improved product physical characteristics. Our strength is being able to design resins with
reduced moisture absorption, greater impact strength, increased flexibility, improved transparency or other
distinguishing features in order to meet those requirements
Extrusion Polymer Series: Shakespeare extrusion
polymer series consist of nylon homopolymers and copolymers specifically formulated for tubing, monofilament
and sheet extrusions. These polymers exhibit the tightest molecular weight and color control for the
demands of high output extrusion where color and part tolerances are critical. These polymers are used
in industrial filtration monofilament, belting and brush bristles as well as tubing and sheet manufacturing.
Transparent Polymer Series: Shakespeare
transparent polymer series features amorphous, clear PA610 based copolymer nylons. These nylons exhibit
high solvent resistance in comparison to traditional transparent polymers, as well as superior dimensional
stability versus polycarbonate, PMMA and Polystyrene after exposure to various organic solvents. They are
used in a range of applications including injection molding, sheet, film and clear monofilaments.

Terpolymer Series: Shakespeare
terpolymer series features amorphous, low melting point terpolymer
nylons. Because of the compatibility of these nylons, they are superior carriers for color concentrates, UV
packages, as well as a variety of additives. They offer many advantages over traditional carrier resin,
Nylon 6, such as higher loading, better dispersion and increased color stability. In addition, our terpolymer
products are readily soluble at room temperature in common alcohols or alcohol & water mixtures, and
are specifically designed to be used in solution coating applications.
Terpolymer Series: Low Moisture Regain/Dimensional
Stability Series: Shakespeare 610 and 612 nylons are used in
applications that require low moisture regain and superior
dimensional stability. These nylons also provide excellent abrasion and electrical insulation properties,
high tenacity and outstanding chemical resistance.
